A paedophile tried to persuade a woman to engage in vile sex acts with her son after using a fake profile on a online chatroom. Phillip Glass, 37, posed as a young mother with a fictional child using a "fake avatar" on the mums group where he began talking to a Middlesbrough woman with a young son. The Stockton man went on to exchange sick messages with the her, where it was discussed how they would share a bed with his fictional daughter and her son, and perform sex acts on each other - involving the youngsters, Teesside Crown Court heard.
Prosecutor Harry Hadfield said the defendant spoke to the woman on messenger platform Kik when the conversation quickly turned sexual. Glass requested access to the woman's son "to do naughty things" as the pair discussed having sexual activity with her son and Glass' imaginary kid in March last year. After seeking assurances that it would stay between them, the mother replied: "Then maybe yeah. The conversation, which lasted for around two days, continued to go into vile sexual detail as Glass asked if the woman would perform oral sex on her own son, and even let the child have sex with her.
The woman ultimately later replied to Glass saying: "I'm sorry I will not be letting anyone touch my son in that way". The woman then went to the police, but only after she deleted the messages to hide her involvement Teesside married women for sex they were recovered and the pair were arrested. Police seized Glass' devices where a of indecent images of children were found, including six-and-a-half hours of video footage in the most serious category A. When interviewed, he claimed the chat was all a fantasy but did admit he is attracted to young girls.
The woman told police she did not intend to meet Glass, who was posing as a woman called Emily, and would not have allowed her son to engage in any sexual activity. The court heard that the woman had a "difficult childhood" and "difficult experiences growing up". The sentencing hearing was told that she has learning disabilities, depression and that trauma suffered in her early years may have affected her ability to show emotions.
