A man who was combative with rangers at Rocky Mountain National Park was under the influence of drugs and taken to a local hospital, according to a news release.
Responding rangers also received a report about a woman being knocked down on the Gem Lake Trail by a man running down the trial. About yards from the trailhead, rangers found a man sitting on the trail who appeared to be injured.
Rangers determined the man was the same man who was reported running down the trail. He was detained, became combative, an then taken by ambulance to Estes Park Health medical center.
